THU., JUNE 5TH @ 6 PM - 8:30 PM - UPPER DECK ALE AND SPORTS GRILLE CLUB ASSEMBLY MEETING SOCIAL

On Thursday evening, June 5th, 2025, Club members and guests gathered for our monthly CAMS (Club Assembly Meeting Social) at Upper Deck Ale and Sports Grille.

President Evelyn Trinidad-Toraño welcomed everyone and introduced our three guests. Maria Baiardi (Susan's friend) and Evelyn‘s two friends Nelly Burkhart and Marina Spisiak. Welcome ladies! Hope to see you again soon!

President Elect Marushka Jilek made the announcement that we have a new club Vice President, Tariq Robinson! Tariq is one of our newest members and the Director of Operations at Hallandale Beach YMCA. Thank you! Tariq for stepping up.

Everyone ordered off the menu and the food was spectacular!

President Evelyn organized some entertaining games . One of them -What's in your purse? - was so much fun. Some of the things found - Marguerite found a special Turkey Point pocket knife. Claudia found a nail and a screw. Susan a broken ring. Nelly a lucky bill. Georgia some Pepto-Bismol pills. Marushka was the winner. She found a pair of socks. LOL. You never know what you can find inside a woman's purse!

We had some good laughs.

To top it all, during dinner, Susan found a smiley fry.

Great times, sharing with friends, in camaraderie and good will.

SAT., JUNE 7TH - HALLANDALE BEACH YMCA Y WEEKEND AND SUMMER CAMP OPEN HOUSE

The Hallandale Beach-Aventura Rotary Club was present at the YMCA at their Y Weekend and Summer Camp Open House on Saturday, June 7th, 2025. Rotarians Georgia Winfield, Marguerite Goulet, President-Elect Marushka Jilek, and Club President Evelyn Trinidad-Toraño greeted adults and children, offered snacks and bananas, and shared information about the Rotary Club. What we do, what we are, what we support. We met wonderful people and were excited to see their interest in learning more about Rotary.

Our own Rotarian and Director of Operations at the YMCA, Tariq Robinson, greeted us, always busy, here and there making sure everything is working perfectly.

We want to thank our friend Zeina Zein-Wolland, Founder & President of the Mobile School Pantry for donating the bananas. Children and adults were always coming to our table to talk and enjoy the fabulous display of fruit. Thanks! Z.

A great day, among great people at a very special place.
