Welcome To Our Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Hallandale Beach-Aventura gives you an opportunity to join leaders to take action on important issues affecting our community, our nation, and the world. We also have a lot of fun – whether we’re socializing or working together on service projects.

Members of our Rotary Club connect at weekly meetings and learn from business experts, political and civic leaders, and entrepreneurs, who help us stay informed on topics that are relevant to our community.

Together, we are able to make great things happen. We have a structure that focuses on action and positive results.

COVID-19 Vaccines

A Message from Commissioner Beam Furr

GetVaccinated.Broward.orgAll three vaccines are now widely available throughout Broward County! Remember appointments are no longer required at vaccination sites operated by the Department of Health-Broward. For a full list of vaccination sites, visit GetVaccinated.Broward.org.

In a partnership with the Department of Health, Broward County Public high school students 16 and older have the opportunity to get vaccinated on site at the school they attend. The Federal Drug Administration has approved vaccines for children aged 12-15. Vaccines are also available at Publix, Wal Mart, CVS, and Walgreens. I am happy to say that with the increased availability and convenience of getting vaccinated, 44% of Broward residents are now vaccinated.

Unfortunately, we have seen fewer residents in Broward County and throughout Florida request the vaccine. it is clear that the 56% of us who remain unvaccinated have other reasons to be hesitant. I encourage everyone to be informed about their responsibility to get vaccinated and keep each other safe. If half our population is not vaccinated, we will suffer long-term ramifications – it will keep this pandemic going for months after it should end and could leave many of our residents experiencing the impacts of this terrible disease. These vaccines are safe, effective, life-saving medicine that will help us defeat a terrible disease, just like we have defeated polio and smallpox and other pandemics. Broward County and Miami-Dade County have launched the “I Did It” campaign in conjunction with the Health Foundation of South Florida to encourage all our residents to get vaccinated!
