FRI., JUNE 20TH - HBA ROTARY CLUB AT MOBILE SCHOOL PANTRY
DISTRIBUTE HEALTHY FOOD TO CHILDREN & FAMILIES

The Hallandale Beach-Aventura Rotary Club in ACTION! on one of our most favorite volunteering jobs. On June 20th, 2025, we helped distribute healthy food to children and families with the Mobile School Pantry at the Gulfstream Early Learning Center, in Hallandale Beach.

Rotarians Georgia Winfield, Colleen Brooks, Carol Steiner, Marguerite Goulet, President-Elect Maruska Jilek, Club President Evelyn Trinidad-Toraño, and guests volunteers Nelly Burkhart, Marina Spisiak and John (JJ) Goulet, together with other volunteers helped to set up the room lifting boxes, opening boxes, organizing the fresh fruit, fresh vegetables, dry foods, and much more. Once the room was ready the families came in to make their selection and leave with healthy, nutritious food. We all kept replenishing the supplies.

The Mobile School Pantry's Mission is to provide fresh fruits, vegetables and nutritious grocery items to children and families at low-income schools throughout South Florida, empowering them to: LEARN-THRIVE-GROW.

This is such an endearing and rewarding cause for our club because it allows us to make an extraordinary positive impact in the lives of many families.

The Hallandale Beach-Aventura Rotary Club is always ready to volunteer at the Mobile School Pantry.

Evelyn Trinidad-Toraño
Hallandale Beach-Aventura Club President
