Zeina Zein-Wolland is the founder of Mobile School Pantry, a leading nonprofit organization that aims to fight hunger and improve access to healthy food for school-aged children. With a passion for nutrition and a desire to help children succeed, Z saw a need for a solution that addresses the issue of food insecurity in schools. With her background in nonprofit management, she founded Mobile School Pantry in 2013 with just her red VW Jetta and a dream.
Under her leadership, the organization has significantly grown and expanded, now serving 13 elementary schools through 6 community sites across Broward county and providing hundreds of thousands of pounds of fresh food to children and families in need. Her innovative approach, combined with her passion and dedication, has earned her recognition as a leader in the field of hunger relief and has inspired others to join her in the fight against hunger. Through her efforts, Z has made a positive impact on the lives of countless families and continues to work tirelessly to fulfill her mission of creating a world where every child has access to nutritious food.
Prior to starting MSP, Zeina worked with the Education Fund in Miami Dade, helping to bring food forests to Dade Schools. She was also the USDA field monitor at Feeding South Florida where she monitored 100+ food pantries and soup kitchens in Broward and Monroe counties. In 2013 she left her job as a School and Youth Coordinator at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to focus on MSP, her passion.
Zeina currently lives in Hollywood, Florida with her husband Alex and their son Luca. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, enjoying the local beaches, and volunteering at her son’s school.

WED., APRIL 2ND @ 12:30 PM - 2:00 PM - HYBRID CLUB MEETING MOBILE SCHOOL PANTRY: ZEINA ZEIN-WOLLAND, FOUNDER & PRESIDENT |
---|
I think everyone will agree our meeting was exciting, emotive, and rewarding.
We had the great pleasure of having Mrs. Zeina Zein-Wolland as a speaker. Zeina is the founder of the Mobile School Pantry, a leading nonprofit organization that aims to fight hunger and improve access to healthy food for school-aged children.
Under her leadership, the organization has significantly grown and expanded, now serving several elementary schools through community sites across Broward County. Mobile School Pantry has provided hundreds of thousands of pounds of fresh food to children and families in need.
Our Club, the Hallandale Beach-Aventura Rotary Club, has volunteered and will continue to do so at the Mobile School Pantry. We had witnessed firsthand the extraordinary impact this distribution of healthy foods has in so many households.
Z's presentation was very interesting and full of emotion. There were some tears here and there, and many smiles.
The Mobile School Pantry was the recipient of a Rotary Grant. The Hallandale Beach-Aventura Rotary Club presented Zeina with a well-deserved check of $5,000.
Serendipity was at play when I introduced Zeina and our newest member, Mr. Tariq Robinson. Tariq is the new Director of Operations of the Hallandale Beach YMCA and transferred here from Augusta, Georgia. It just happened that Zeina wanted to meet with a representative of of the YMCA, and Tariq had wanted to meet Zeina because he had heard about the Mobile School Pantry. They immediately established a great connection and will meet soon. I am sure great things will come from this fortuitous encounter.
Rotarian Fran Markowitz gave us each a Choco Pie. They were delicious! Why is this significant? Because when we played the 50/50 game, Fran's name was drawn out of the bag, making her the winner of $18. She then selected one card from the deck of cards, and we were all momentarily speechless when she turned the card to show the Queen of Hearts! ❤️ Congratulations to our dear Fran, who won the jackpot. $414.00. She attributes her luck to the Choco Pies she gave us.
All in all, it was a great meeting, and we all left with a feeling of well-being and appreciation.
