Our members participated at a fun holiday event at the Gulfstream Early Learning Center on December 16. We brought all our Club's toys donations and organized the room for parents to come and select gifts for their kids! We also received great contributions from the Weston Rotary Club and from many other contributors. JAY’s Closet was paramount in collecting donations!

When we finished the workshop, we moved onto the auditorium, where we assembled a Photo Booth Balloon Arch for their upcoming events! We were an unstoppable team! Thanks to volunteers Evelyn Trinidad-Torano, Marushka Jilek, Colleen Brooks, Peter Vanek, and Marguerite Goulet. We are humbled and deeply touched by the large number of toys' donations, ensuring that many children have a Merry Christmas.

It is hard to believe this was our last meeting of 2024. We will meet again on January 8, 2025!

At today’s meeting we had a pleasant surprise. Rotary David Bellos from Fairdfield, Ohio, came to visit and had lunch with us.

We had a wonderful gathering in which our guest, Mr. Kenny Cohan, gave an interesting and insightful presentation about the Police Athelic League (PAL). He presented innovations and new ideas that will be implemented in 2025. He was accompanied by Mr. Jaime Figueroa, who assisted on the technological side of the presentation.

On December 18, 2024, Rotary Club Hallandale Beach-Aventura President, Evelyn Trinidad-Toraño, presented Marushka Jilek, Rotary Club HBA President-Elect, with a Paul Harris Fellow recognition PHF+6 Pin. We thank Marushka for her extraordinary contributions.

Rotarians, were hard at work, putting together more than 1,000 candy bags to be distributed at the Christmas Eve Santa Sleigh Ride! Thank you to the Hallandale Beach Fire Rescue Unit 7 for providing this beautiful room for our work. It was a wonderful afternoon of fellowship and fun working on this labor of Love.

We are excited to announce a new date for our much-anticipated Golf Ball Drop! Due to overwhelming interest from our Rotary family and friends, and to give everyone a chance to purchase their tickets, we’ve decided to postpone the event to Friday, February 7th, 2025.

This new date aligns perfectly with a very special occasion—the visit of Rotary International President Stephanie Urchick! We couldn’t think of a better time to drop the balls and celebrate this fun and impactful project with our extended Rotary community.
