About Beth Trotter


Beth Trotter joined Mecklenburg County South-Rotary in 2010, where her husband, Rodney Holtzmuller, is a charter member of the club. She served as Club President in 2013-2014, leading her club to win numerous awards including district membership growth and the RI Presidential Citation. Beth served District 7680 as Assistant Governor from 2015-2018 and was elected District Governor, serving in 2019 -2020. Currently, she is District Rotary Foundation Chair, serving from 2021-2024.

Beth was a Carolina PETS facilitator in 2020, 2021, and 2022. She has served Rotary Zones 33/34 as a trainer for incoming District Governors in 2021 and Lead Trainer for Emerging Leaders in 2022. This year, she is serving as lead trainer for the 31 District Governor Nominees. In July, she began a three-year assignment to serve Zone 33 as The Rotary Foundation Endowment and Major Gift Advisor.

Beth started her career as an insurance agency owner and retired in November 2020 after working in leadership with Nationwide Insurance for 25 years. Beth and Rodney live in Charlotte, NC. They enjoy spending their free time traveling, golfing, bike riding, and being with their four children and 13 grandchildren. Rotary has afforded her the opportunity to visit many amazing places including Africa and India. And she looks forward to sharing the highlights of a few of these trips!

Every Club and every Rotarian in our District is invited to participate. You may participate as a Club or on an individual basis. Broward County Marine Resources is ready and has already published the locations where they will be present. Kudos to Broward. In Miami-Dade, VolunteerCleanup.org is Ocean Conservancy's representative and they will publish their details shortly. Monroe County and the Grand Bahama will need to organize locally.
