The Object of Rotary

To encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster.

*FIRST: The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service.

*SECOND: High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society.

*THIRD: The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal business and community life.

*FOURTH: The advancement of international understanding, good will, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons

Our Club

Our club gives you an opportunity to join leaders to take action on important issues affecting our community, our nation, and the world. We also have a lot of fun – whether we’re socializing or working together on service projects.

Members of our Rotary club connect at weekly meetings and learn from business experts, political and civic leaders, and entrepreneurs, who help us stay informed on topics that are relevant to our community.

Together, we are able to make great things happen. We have a structure that focuses on action and positive results.

The Four-Way Test

The Four-Way Test is a nonpartisan and nonsectarian ethical guide for Rotarians to use for their personal and professional relationships. The test has been translated into more than 100 languages, and Rotarians recite it at club meetings: Of the things we think, say or do

1. Is it the TRUTH?
2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Studying abroad during my junior year of high school was the most exciting and influential experience of my high school career. In 2010, I went to the South of Brazil where I found a warm and welcoming host family and friends, which fully immersed me into a new culture and way of life.

I learned a new language, new cuisine, new music, and perspectives which I use in my day to day life 10 years later. Most of all, the Rotary youth exchange taught me independence.

Being in a new country, where survival depends on adaption and socialization, puts you in a situation where you look at things from different perspectives and encourages a sense of understanding, peace, and unity. The rotary youth exchange was one of the most impactful, profound, and fun experiences of my life!
