About Barbara Gobbi


Barbara Gobbi serves as the Governor for Rotary District 6990 in 2023-24 and has been a Rotarian since 2011.

She is a member of the Rotary Club of Fort Lauderdale Cypress Creek, and has served as the District Public Image Chair, District Communications Chair, and District Webmaster.

Professionally, Barbara has spent the past 30 years in the marketing industry and currently owns a marketing consulting agency helping small business owners with strategic planning and marketing.

Barbara and her husband have 4 children. After their son, Jack, was diagnosed with autism, Barbara became an autism advocate and founded Shine on Autism, a resource community for parents of children on the autism spectrum.

Barbara is a member of the Paul Harris Society, a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, Sustaining Member, and a Rotary Benefactor.

Her mission as Governor for 2023-24 is to foster peace within our communities and to focus on the growing mental health crisis.

Every Club and every Rotarian in our District is invited to participate. You may participate as a Club or on an individual basis. Broward County Marine Resources is ready and has already published the locations where they will be present. Kudos to Broward. In Miami-Dade, VolunteerCleanup.org is Ocean Conservancy's representative and they will publish their details shortly. Monroe County and the Grand Bahama will need to organize locally.

If you and/or your Club want to cleanup at the sites identified by Broward County Marine Resources, it is strongly suggested that you register for this year's cleanup event. Please click on the Registration Email tab below, include your name, contact information, organization, site at which you wish to participate, and number of attendees.
