About Sherry Giordano


Sherry joined PACE Center for Girls as the Executive Director for PACE Center for Girls Miami in 2014. This is where Sherry has been able to merge her passion for “at-promise” Girls, educational reform, and the ability to create and maintain best business practices to strengthen and grow the Pace Miami model. In 2015 PACE Miami was the recipient of the prestigious Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s NOVO Award for Nonprofit Excellence and the Switchboard All-Stars Innovation Award.

Sherry has a unique combination of “nonprofit expertise and passion” grounded in 30 years of proven corporate experience in the Technology industry. Sherry was recognized by Miami Dade County as a recipient of the 2011 “In the Company of Women” award for her work. She is honored to have been named a recipient of the National Academy Foundation Advisory Board Champion award, in July 2011 and the recipient of the South Florida Digital Alliance’s “Universal Access Award” 2012. In 2017, Pace was a recipient of the Bank of America’s Neighborhood Builder award.

Sherry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Stephens College, Columbia, MO and attended Oxford University, in England, her Junior year. She continued her education by completing courses in Marketing for Non-Profit Organizations at Radcliffe College, Cambridge, MA.

She is the past Chair for Miami Dade Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) Advisory Board, and past Chair of the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce Business & Education Committee. She has also served on the Miami Dade College CIS Advisory Board. She also served as Chair of the Nonprofit Business Committee, Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and now is an active member of the GMCC Nonprofit Committee.
