About Glenn Dunlap

I have been with FedEx since 1990. I started my career with FedEx in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. During my career at FedEx, I have worked in Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando, Charlottesville, VA, New Bern, NC, Garden City, KS, Morgantown, WV, Evansville, IN, Palo Alto, CA, Hayward, CA, Harrisburg, PA, Washington, DC, and Miami, FL. Each one of my transfers has taught me that no matter where you live, it is really what you make of it.

During my career with FedEx, I have earned several awards. I have earned individual awards such as BZ’s (FedEx award that stands for Bravo Zulu or Job Well Done) Station of the year and Ramp Ops of the year.

My favorite awards have been the CEO Safety Award and Star Safety Award. These awards are given to locations that have the best Safety Rates and a location that sets a standard of Safe Work Methods. These are my favorite as it clearly shows the employees I work with, that I truly care for the well being of everyone.

During my career I have earned FedEx Humanitarian Awards, Purple Promise Award and Five Star Award. The Five Star Award is given to the top performers in the Company. Most prestigious award FedEx offers.

All of the locations I have worked my favorite locations have been in Florida, California and Kansas.

I was born and raised in North Carolina. Growing up I milked cows before I left for school. At the age of 15 I earned my School Bus license and was a county bus driver. At an early age I worked on local farms. During this time frame I would drive a tractor to school. This was so I could get the farm as soon as school was out.

I especially enjoyed working with animals. I spent a good bit of time working on a tobacco and pig farms. Probably the only thing I really know to do well is work very hard at everything I do.

I am married to my gorgeous wife Lisa. We have been married since 2014. I have 4 children who have all gone on to receive degrees from various Universities. I have 8 grandchildren ranging in age from 12 to 3 with another grandchild due in a month. I love my family dearly. Chasing grandchildren is one of my all-time favorite things to do.

I enjoy my life. I volunteer through FedEx at various organizations. I am active in my religion. I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing and sports. I am an avid San Francisco Giants Fan. I especially love Baseball. I have visited about half of the Baseball Fields through out the U.S.

When I eventually retire my plan is to buy a small farm somewhere closer to North Carolina. My goal is to raise a vegetable garden and a few animals.
