Linda’s dedication to public service stretches back over 40 years. Dr. Linda Marks has spent her life standing up for children and families. She’s committed to investing in our students, maintaining our low tax rates, and keeping our city safe.
As a City Commissioner, Linda was a leader in the effort to open Don Soffer Aventura High School, advocated for stricter safety guidelines for construction in the city, and fought to keep your taxes among the lowest in Miami-Dade County.
Linda’s dedication to public service stretches back over 40 years. She began her career as a classroom teacher, but soon moved into management roles within several school systems, both public and private. She eventually became a Superintendent of a suburban public school district in Illinois, where she earned praise for outstanding student achievement and national recognition for educational innovation. After retiring from her role as Superintendent, Linda moved to Aventura where she served as the Head of Hochberg Preparatory School on Beth Torah’s North Miami Beach campus.
