Sascha Cushner currently holds the position of Fishery Biologist for the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Her job entails working with federal fisheries observers, training them on fisheries data collection and fish identification as well as reporting fishery regulation violations her employees encounter. Sascha has held this position with NOAA for 14 years. Prior to transitioning to this office role, Sascha worked as an offshore observer herself, amassing over 1000 days at sea collecting data on a variety of vessels.
Sascha's passion and love for the ocean began at an early age with her admiration for sharks. From this age, Sascha always knew she wanted to be a marine biologist, and obtained a BS in Marine Biology from Texas A&M.
In her free time, she enjoys beach time, kayaking, cycling, camping, traveling, and spending time with friends and her Little Sister from Big Brothers Big Sisters. Sascha is a big advocate for preserving the oceans and beaches that are used daily and can often be found cleaning the beach and participating in sea turtle nesting surveys. Ultimately, Sascha believes that the ocean is an amazing gift that should be preserved for all forms of life.

KITE FESTIVAL with PAL (Police Athletics League)
