Darryl joined the Rotary Club of Charlotte Harbor in 2010 and graduated through Rotary Leadership Institute in 2012, before serving as Club President in 2014-15. The club formed a satellite which subsequently Chartered in 2019 as Charlotte Harbor Sunset Club, and Darryl moved to the new club to offer support to many new Rotarians.
In addition to perfect attendance, he has received recognition as Rotarian of the Year at both club and district levels and is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, a Benefactor, a member of the Paul Harris Society and the Bequest Society. At District level, Darryl has served in several roles including Area Governor, Membership Chair and as RLI Discussion Leader.
Before relocating to the US in 2008, he worked as a Director of a London based investment bank, and in addition to his day job, he acted as President of the Executives Association of Great Britain, Chairman of the England cricket captain’s Testimonial Committee and Director of the Rugby Football League.
Today, he is President and co-founder of Zypha Corporation (www.zyphausa.com), providing a complete, advanced business IT service, eliminating the need for on-site computer servers.
He has 3 daughters, 2 sons and 6 grandchildren, all living overseas and Samantha, his wife, has to suffer him while he follows his soccer and baseball teams!
In the community, Darryl is a member of the Program Advisory Board of the Southern Technical College, a Trustee of the Cultural Center of Charlotte County and a Board Member of the Early Learning Coalition of Florida’s Heartlands.
