About John Smarge:

John served as President of The Rotary Club of Naples in 1992-93 and as District 6960 Governor in 1995-96. He was a member of the Rotary International Board of Directors in 2010-2012.

Throughout his many years of Rotary involvement, he has been a Member and Chair of multiple RI Committees. John served as the Aide to the 2018 – 2019 Rotary International President. Currently, John is a member of the Shaping Rotary’s Future Committee and will serve as the Chairman of the 2022 RI Convention Committee (Houston, TX). John is a founding member of HANWASH – which stands for Haiti National Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Strategy – which will be his topic of discussion today.

John is a past Board Chairman of the Naples YMCA and served as Director on the boards of the Boy Scouts of America, Shelter for Abused Women, and Naples Girls Sports Foundation. John and Cindy have three daughters and two grandchildren.

    Greeting Cards for Seniors
    Many seniors feel alone and isolated because they are not able to have family visits or social activities due to Covid19 pandemic restrictions. We are partnering with Presidential Place in Hollywood to deliver greeting cards to their residents and let them know there are people who care.

    Please take a moment and write as many cards as you would like, below are the guidelines:
  • Message spirit: bring a smile to them, "thinking of you and best wishes"
  • Sign your name
  • Leave the card envelope blank
  • Place the card with blank envelope inside another envelope and mail to:
