THU., NOV 21ST - THE KINDNESS ROOM PROJECT HALLANDALE BEACH-AVENTURA ROTARY CLUB & GULFSTREAM ACADEMY |
---|
On Thursday, November 21, Rotarians, along with friends and family, gathered at Gulfstream Academy to volunteer for the Kindness Room Project in the library. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our amazing volunteers, the room turned out beautifully!
Members of the Hallandale Beach-Aventura Rotary Club generously provided both their time and materials to paint the space for this meaningful project. The team worked together on this hands-on task, prepping the walls and painting most of the room. We're excited to return and finish the job!
Our talented team of "professional" painters included Evelyn Trinidad-Torano, Mayor Joy Cooper, Marguerite Goulet, Youssef Adesanya, Carol Steiner, along with guest volunteers Tetiana Udovychenko and our youngest helper, Victoria. Thank you all for your incredible contributions!

Location:
Markham Park
16001 W SR-84, Sunrise, FL 33326
The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Golf Ball Drop was created in 2013 by Chris Morrison, member and Past President of the Rotary Club of Coral Gables, to raise money to assist in Rotary District 6990 various grant programs.
It is that time of year once more when we come together to honor Chris Morrison for his tremendous support of the Rotary Foundation and to continue on the path he designed!
As always, our district is excited to host an event in memory of Chris Morrison, aimed at raising vital funds for this important cause.
Mark your calendars! The deadline to purchase tickets is December. This is a fantastic opportunity for everyone who wants to contribute and qualify for the Paul Harris Fellow recognition—whether through buying tickets or selling them to friends and family. Those who reach the PHF or the next level will be celebrated before our Paul Harris night!
You can get your physical tickets from our assistant governors and club presidents, or easily purchase them online at the following website.
We have some incredible prizes lined up, so don’t miss out. The closest balls will receive the following winning gifts:
1. 2-night stay Bay Harbor & Coconut Bay Resort, Key Largo
2. $1,200 Voucher for Virgin Cruise
3. $600 Gift Certificate from Carroll Jewelers
4. 3-night stay for two guests at Di Sabatino Resort in Renaissance CIty of Ascoli Piceno (Italy)
5. Brunch for two at the Biltmore Hotel, Coral Gable
Can you imagine how many good things we can do in the world with such a donation and how much we can accomplish within our own communities through the DDF? For every four tickets sold, your $100 donation can for instance help provide new water filters capable of purifying over 200,000 gallons of clean, safe drinking water by removing 99.9999% of diseases from contaminated water.
We are counting on you.
Thank you for your support and your commitment to the Rotary mission.
